• Our Services

  • Boarding - Dogs

    Most of our clients board their pets with us during their vacations, getaways, remodeling projects, and parties which range from a long weekend to a couple of weeks or more. We offer extended stay rates for visits over 2 weeks and another for 30 days or longer. You are welcome to bring stuff. Common items are beds, blankets, rugs, stuffed animals, chew toys, bones, etc. Please no tennis balls - too easy to roll down to the drains. Everyone is asked, using an 8 oz. measuring cup, how much do you want us to feed your dog. We feed two meals each day, your food brought in or our food. Be sure to bring any medications your pet will need. There is no charge to give medications. We may ask you to bring your latest vet papers so we can update our records for vaccinations.

  • Boarding - Cats

    Cats have their own room with large walk-in units each having several benches up the walls for climbing. Again, your own things or ours. Whatever makes you most comfortable in leaving your pets with us is fine. You may bring your own food although we feed a very high quality diet of canned food with dry kibble available. Recent studies indicate that a diet of just dry kibble leads to a lot of health issues with cats primarily due to their low drink drive. We now feed two meals of wet (canned) food.

  • Day Care

    Daycare is any dog arriving and departing the same day. These dogs are incorporated into the regular boarding community, play groups, yard time, etc. We generally do not feed the Daycare dogs because they usually stay on their home schedule. Puppies still being fed 3 times a day will obviously be fed at noonish. In and out the same day anytime between 8 am - noon or 3 pm - 5 pm.

• Grooming (Bathing)

  We bathe dogs for you whether they are staying with us or brought in. Please call for an appointment if you are not boarding otherwise just ask for a bath when you make your reservation or when you drop off. Baths are for dogs not currently boarded. This includes nails clipped on cooperative dogs. Breeds such as Akitas, Bernese Mountain Dogs, Bouviers, Great Pyrenese, Long Haired German Shepherds, full coated Collies and Old English Sheepdogs, Malamutes, Newfoundlands, Samoyeds, St. Bernards, etc. are still a deal at $30.

  • Hours of Operation

    We are open 7 days a week except for major holidays. Monday - Saturday: 8 am - 12 noon and 3 pm - 5 pm; Sunday: Closed AM, Open 3 pm - 5 pm. We are closed to people: New Years Day, Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve afternoon, Christmas Day.

  • Emergencies

    Please provide a telephone number where YOU can be reached in case we have any questions or have a medical emergency during your pet’s stay.

  • What should I bring?

    You are welcome to bring ‘stuff’ for your pet. Many of our clients bring toys, bones, towels, beds, etc. No dishes or bowls, please. We have everything we need to care for your pet.

  • What makes us better than other kennels

    10 big grassy play yards for daily exercise, sunshine, and socialization. Large, full building natural gas generator for power loss emergencies. We always have heating or cooling, water, exhaust fans, and refrigeration, lights and computers. We belong to the Chicago Area Better Business Bureau and have an A+ rating. We do not believe in ‘storing’ your pets while you are away. Our big play yards are used just like they were your own back yard. All dogs get let out a minimum of four times each day at no extra charge to you.

  • Visiting the Kennel

    Visitors are always welcome. We love to show people around and talk dogs. You may stop by anytime during our posted hours. We do not recommend visiting on Sunday afternoon, if possible, as it can be very busy with dogs being picked up. We apologize in advance but people dropping off or picking up their pets will be taken care of first.

    your first day is $25, and if you pick up in the afternoon hours of 3 pm to 5 pm, your last day is $25.

• Vaccinations

  All pets are required to have proof of inoculations for:

  • Dogs

    Rabies, Distemper and Bordetella (Kennel Cough). If your dog has ever had a reaction to vaccinations, please bring us a letter of exemption from your veterinarian for our file.

  • Cats

    Rabies and Distemper.
